Sports are serious business.
On Under the Number, Brent Peus goes deep with the leaders driving the Sports Economy, from elite athletes and investors to visionary founders and executives.
The Connection:
I first met Jason in early 2024 at Dude Perfect’s former headquarters, as Highmount’s partnership with the team was coming together.

Quote of the Episode:
“We realized we were vision and values aligned. We could help [Dude Perfect] strategically, we could align incentives, and we said, hey, this isn’t one where you dip your toe in — this is one where you go in with both feet and build something special.”
Bet You Didn’t Know:
Jason is the General Partner and Co-Founder of Highmount Capital, an investment firm specializing in growth-stage and middle-market opportunities within transformative technology and other high-growth sectors. Previously, he served as Managing Director and founding member of Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT)—the venture and growth investment arm of Koch Industries, the largest privately held company in the U.S. with revenues exceeding $130 billion. During his tenure, Jason played a key role in expanding KDT’s portfolio to billions in assets under management across more than 40 companies.
