A few months into 2025, I decided I wanted to understand the Sports Economy. Really understand it.

This meant going directly to the decision makers building this new asset class: the investors, founders, and executives defining where the business of sport is headed.

Cold DMs, deep (sometimes frenetic) research, and a lot of listening led to some of the most energizing conversations I’ve ever had with some of the sharpest people I’ve met.

Under the Number is not for casuals—it’s expert media for the sports economy. Guests range from nine-figure investors to pros-turned-founders, from family office leaders to bleeding edge sports scientists, from VCs to gaming CEOs, and from media veterans to league disruptors. Sports is the connective tissue.

Every episode this year delivered, which made narrowing this down genuinely challenging. But here are my five favorites from 2025 ⬇️

P.S. 2026 is going to be a massive year for Under the Number. More on that very soon—stay tuned!
