The Connection:

I was sitting at the WME x TKO hospitality house during Super Bowl week in San Francisco when Myles Nuzzi called Gary over to our table. He rattled off a handful of wild stories on the spot, mentioned he’d be in Dallas a few days later, and we ended up getting dinner at Mi Cocina. I had the pleasure of hearing even more tales from his incredible career over fajitas and ranch waters.

You’ll struggle to find another podcast that’s had Gary on — I feel honored he took the time to join me for this one.

Quotes of the Episode:

“Memories, not merchandise. In the world we’re living in today, things don’t matter the way they once did. It’s about creating the memories.”

“We could have our events in a garage and they’d be amazing. It’s all about the people.”

“The more you say no, the more people want it.”

Bet You Didn’t Know:

Gary co-wrote "Go New York Go" with his college roommate Jesse Itzler. Thirty-plus years later they still play a version of it at Knicks games. Listen for it on Monday when game 3 takes the finals back to Madison Square Garden.
